Hi -

We're in the process of developing an application with an Oracle database. Our COBOL/DB2 mainframe applications need to access the Oracle database. Is there a way to define a nickname or synonym on the DB2 database mapped to the Oracle tables so the COBOL programs will have the same "DB2 table" interface? Can this be accomplished using DB2 Connect? I'm not familiar with DB2 Connect, but from my readings, it seems that it works only for access from non-mainframe applications/database to DB2 mainframe, but not the other way around.

Thanks in advance...
