After having tested some OCI wrappers, i have found that the simplest one (multi-platform) is LIBSQLORA8 (its coded in C with full documentation and samples)(http://www.poitschke.de/libsqlora8/)

I would recommend you to use that library whatever you have to do using OCI. It is also a good way to get OCI examples running.

Hope this helps.
